Waking up and having to crawl out of bed is already so hard to do, and the snooze button doesn’t make it any easier. Buzz buzz, snooze. Buzz buzz, snooze. Does this routine sound familiar? If hitting the snooze button on the alarm clock were an Olympic sport, we would all be Olympians. We bet the guy who invented the snooze button probably never ended up inventing anything else, haha. Get it?
If it wasn’t for alarm clocks, we’d probably never be able to wake up on time. But, sometimes the built-in alarm clocks on our phones just can’t seem to do the job. Damn you, snooze button. If you’re not a slave to the snooze button, then consider yourself lucky – or at least very well-rested. For the rest of us, the following alarm clocks can help us have an easier time getting out of bed in the mornings. No one loves an alarm clock. But if you’ve missed multiple morning classes or meetings, you may be ready for one you love to hate.
Peakeep Twin Bell Alarm Clock
While there are tons of new alarm clocks that utilize fancy technology, you can’t go wrong with the old-school simplicity of an analog alarm clock. This little alarm is sure to wake you up with its super loud little hammer constantly beating the bells on each side. It also does not have a snooze option. Besides being an extremely effective alarm, it’s darn cute as well. This will look super chic on your bedside table.
SmartShaker by iLuv
Get up without hurting your ears! Instead of being super loud, the smartShaker uses vibrations that are strong enough to wake you up, without disturbing anyone else in the room. All you have to do is place it right under your pillow, it is small and thin enough to fit. This is perfect if you have roommates, live in a dorm, live with a significant other or have hearing impairments.
The Sonic Alert Sonic Bomb Extra-Loud Alarm Clock
If you had to pick one alarm clock to help you wake up, we’d definitely reccommend getting this one! This alarm clock offers a vast amount of options. It comes with built-in super bright flashing lights, extra-loud 113 dual alarm (with adjustable tone & volume control), a powerful 12-volt bed shaker and an alarm duration from 1-59 minutes. You can choose to use these options alone or you can use different combinations of the options that work for you.
The Ruggie Alarm Clock
If you need to get out of bed to be fully awake in the morning, then this is the alarm clock for you! This alarm comes in the form of a carpet and literally forces you to get out of bed and stand on it. You need to stand on the carpet for 3 seconds in order to turn the alarm off. However, if 3 seconds isn’t long enough, you can change the settings to 30 seconds. If you aren’t the type of person tempted to get back into bed after the alarm turns off, this is perfect for you. Simply using Ruggie for awhile, will condition you to stand up as soon as you hear the alarm go off.
The Clocky Alarm
This alarm applies the same concept as Ruggie by requiring you to literally get out of bed to turn it off. However, it takes it one step further, this alarm clock starts running away from you. It allows you to hit the snooze button once, but afterwards it starts running around and blaring its loud alarm. Good luck trying to go back to sleep after that!
